CLASSES DESCRIPTION AND REGISTRATION
Complete Beginners (A0)
If you have never done French before, this crash course which lasts for a few hours in between sessions, will allow you to discover the alphabet, the numbers, pronunciation and some grammar basics. You will also learn how to introduce yourself and others. If you already know this, then the A1 course is recommended.
This is the discovery stage of the language. You will be talking about your town and go to a shop, describing someone, having a conversation about your holidays and giving opinions about your daily routine. At the end of this stage, you will be approximately at the level achieved with GCSE Foundation level.
You will be telling a story in the past, giving advice, talking about cultural differences and travels and sharing your ideas about social media . At the end of this course, your level will be comparable to that achieved at GCSE (Higher level)/AS Level.
These courses will enable you to become independent and maintain discussions. You will develop the ability to deal with situations likely to arise in daily life and deal with the unpredictable as well as express opinions. At the end of this course, your level will be comparable to that achieved at AS Level.
Upper Intermediate (B2)
These courses will enable you to develop the ability communicate with a degree of spontaneity and fluency during a conversation with a native speaker, in a way that is comfortable for everyone. You will be able to discuss current affairs, argue, defend and negotiate your viewpoints convincingly. At the end of this course, your level will be comparable to that achieved with A2 Level – Foundation.
- Level B2 has two sub-levels: Upper Intermediate 1 B2.1 & Upper Intermediate 2 B2.2
- Next session: w/c 10th September until w/c 19th November
- Ressources: A large range of authentic documents (articles, videos, radio and TV shows, books...) carefully chosen by our teachers.
