Prof. Martin Bygate
(applied linguistics and language teaching)

Former President of AILA, and Co­Editor of Applied Linguistics journal. His main research interests are the teaching and learning of spoken language and task­ based language teaching. A fluent speaker of French, he first graduated in French and has studied and taught in France. He has recently started to rediscover French literature, and is very interested in French culture and history.

Ms Catherine VON KNORRING

Ms Von Knorring is perfectly bilingual. She taught French for a number of  years at Leeds Metropolitan University where she was also in charge of the French faculty.

Mr Mallinson is perfectly bilingual;  he was in charge of developing language programmes at Leeds Metropolitan University; he is now retired but he still works freelance as an interpreter/translator/tutor.

Mr Masterton is an expert in the fields of communication and teaching, with a strong interest for French and French culture.

Mr Higgingbotham is a lawyer with a particular interest in foreign languages and cultures.

Mr Grave is bilingual. He is a technical architect by profession and he enjoys the French language, French cinema and cycling!
