Current Affairs:
C2: students will be required to keep up to date with current affairs. They will pick and prepare one or two topics every week. They will do a very short introduction of their topic(s) before it is discussed with the rest of the group.
Literature:
B2: specific books will be studied and discussed. For the Autumn Term 2025, two books will be studied: La Part de l’autre by Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt, and Stupeur et tremblements by Amélie Nothomb.
C1/C2: specific books will be studied and discussed. For the Autumn Term 2025, two books will be studied: La Part de l’autre by Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt, and La Gloire de mon père by Marcel Pagnol.In addition, students will have the possibility to practice writing essays about the books or more personal topics, or poetry, inspired by the themes or styles of the extracts studied in class.
